We’re in need of an HR and Admin Generalist. This is a management level position. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR or at least experience with business management. Bachelor’s degree or several years of experience in HR required. The candidate will need to be a self starter, as this position is independent from the rest of the management team, but also able to work well with others and in a team environment. The candidate would be working directly within our management team and directly report to the VP of HR.

  • Maintains organization staff by actively recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding prospective candidates for hire
  • Maintains records of accurate applications and copies of employment items
  • Ensures that all new hires are properly licensed and eligible to work in the US
  • Prepares new hires for assignment by establishing orientation and providing uniforms
  • Data entry of new hires into Quickbooks payroll software
  • Maintains records of all employees to ensure licensure is maintained
  • Hearing and resolving employee grievances
  • Counseling employees on improvements to be made in unsatisfactory work
  • Creating write ups for employees who have unsatisfactory work quality
  • Creating termination paperwork for employees whom AEGIS has determined not employable
  • Responding to unemployment claims
  • Representing AEGIS at unemployment hearings (with accurate records pertaining to the specific unemployment case)
  • Respond to outside job verifications
  • Collaborate with management staff on any incidents HR related
  • Maintain and monitor management’s staff evaluations
  • Collaborating with HR Director about employee incentives and reimbursements
  • Verify that all employee timesheets are accurate before billing and payroll need to occur
  • Verifying that QR Scans are being completed as stated in Post Orders
  • Answers inbound phone calls on office line and direct work number during office hours
  • Ability to learn pricing structure for inbound requests for jobs

 

Must have knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • GSuite, including but not limited to Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Voice, Keep
  • Interview process for potential candidates for employment
  • Phone etiquette – inbound calls, employee calls, management calls

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of experience in HR in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
  • Some knowledge of security industry preferred but not necessary
  • Command of English language
  • Willingness to learn quickly
  • Ability to collaborate with AEGIS management staff and HR Director
  • Willingness to work Monday-Friday during the day and additionally after hours as necessary.
